Cancer is the second leading cause of illness and death in the United States

What is cancer control?

Cancer control month brings attention to advances to fight cancer. It is also about making changes to the things you can control.

Reduce the risk of developing most types of cancer by making these three lifestyle changes:

  1. Quit Smoking

  2. Be physically active

  3. Eat better

The sooner cancer is found, the better the chances are for you to live a longer life.

Everyone should follow cancer prevention and screening guidelines. Please check with your doctor to verify you are current with all preventive services being offered.
